"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Kiptin's A Big Boy Now!...

Finally Kiptin decided he wanted to wear big boy undies and give the rest of his diapers to his new little baby thats soon to come!
This time around Iam a much more mellow go with the flow mom, I new how long it took working with kaylin to fully potty train even though he wanted to do it, it just took a long while for him to get the hang of it cause I listed to everyone else and they all said start him a little after 2 so thats what we did but he was maybe not quite ready, it took him a good 6 months to be pretty perfect at it.
This time I didnt even care what people said, i was waiting til kiptin showed interest in the potty him self and then I would start to encourage him to sit on the potty and wear big boy undies. WORKED LIKE A CHARM i must say! We are on day 3 of wearing undies and he is doing so super great, he runs to his little potty and does his business and then bring it to me and says "i pee peed again mommmy" I yell great job and we give high fives and he is one happy little boy, he gets to open his treasure box and pick out a treat!
We had doc apt and a walmart trip to make yesterday and he was not going to let me put him in a diaper so i told him he had to stay dry...HE DID!
We still have had no #2 in to potty yet so im a little worried about that, he doesnt quite know what to do there yet...one he just "lets it go" like he did with his #1, he will see that its a piece of cake as well and im sure he will master that too!!
Im happy that this is all happening before his little brother joins us because i was totally not even going to deal with this issue until way after the baby comes...a new born and potty training doesnt sound like a lot of fun to me!
I just may be diaper free for ONE WHOLE MONTH before we have to start those up again for the next 3 years!!! Man 6 years straight changing diapers???? who's crazy idea was that???? we have to plan better next time or else just hurry and get it all over with so we are free from diapers FOREVER! I like the 2nd idea better my self.

Great Job Kiptin...your so big...we love you to heaven!!!

here is what kiptin picked out as his prize for going potty....We told him as soon as he was totally potty trained he could go to the store again and pick one last big prize out...so just a few day after we bought his fun play dough sets he finished up his potty training and he has had his eyes on the "hungry hippos" game and thats what he picked out to buy...he has had so much fun with it. Its nice now i dont have to change a diaper during the day and i dont even have to ask him if he needs to potty he just goes in when ever he needs and gets the job done :)!!!! It make me a little sad how he just passed such a big mile stone but im so proud of him and he is such an amazing little boy!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
