"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Another funny from kaylin boy...

The other day (april 2013) I was showing kaylin some pictures of when he was just born, there were two pictures i showed him, and I was holding him in the pictures...I said to him "look kaylin here you are just a few days old" he smiled and said "well who is that holding me" I laughed and said "um hello thats your mom, you know, ME" he then looked at me and said "thats not you thats a LITTLE kid" hahahaha we all started laughing and he still didnt believe that it was really me holding him!! here are the two pictures:

6 weeks old...

It really truly does seem like I was just in the hospital welcoming our sweet little Khai, and really its already been 6 sweet weeks with him. He is growing so fast. Yesterday I washed all his laundry and packed away most of his little new born and Just born clothes...such a bitter sweet day, I want him to stay little forever! He is quit the needy baby though, he is good but I think i spoiled him a little too much and now he thinks only his mommy can hold him and that he CAN NOT even for a second be set down! He kicked daddy out of his bed and snuggles with mommy...(not a wise choice and i do know better from our experience with kaylin) but when mommy needs a little sleep its just what has to be done, plus they are only little and snugly for so long so I am just doing what makes him feel good!!
last night he slept pretty much the whole night, he never really woke up to eat, it would have been a great nights sleep had I not woke up ever hour or so to make sure he was ok still :)

The past 6 weeks have been awesome and full of getting use to having 3 little kiddos, good thing i have nick, he takes on the big boys while i hang with little man...it feels like I am ALWAYS feeding this little guy, if im not feeding im holding or trying to get some extra sleep my self..but soon things will calm down and not be so crazy. Iam thankful for each of my boys and for my husband, they are truly all that matters in life to me, I have a happy great life!

Happy 6 weeks old Little Khai man!

3 weeks old...

I seriously am so sad that 3 weeks have come and gone, I have LOVED just snuggling this little guy all day!!
I would have to say that having a baby at 21 years old and having a baby at 28 years old is such a huge difference. I am just not wanting him to grow up at all I just want him to stay a newborn forever!!

at his 2 week apt he weighed 7lb and 10 oz, now i would say close to 8lbs maybe
he still wears newborn and just born clothes and newborn diapers
he hates to get undressed and hates his diaper changed
tonight was the first night he got a bath in his little tube and HE HATED IT!
He sleeps any where from 2 to 4 sometimes 5 hrs at a time at night.
He still has lots of hair but its getting so light, much lighter then the other 2 boys at this age.
He loves to be snuggled right up on my chest, he loves to just be held by mommy all day!

The boys are just loving on him so much, all day kaylin will come over to me and say "he's so cute mom" and seriously he does that about 10 times a day...makes me smile!
Kiptin loves to come up and "pet" his head and give him kisses. if kiptin has cold hands he try's to warm them up so that khailo doesnt get crying when he touches him...super cute too!
Nick talks to him all the time, he is always calling him "little cutie", which melts my heart too...nick just loves his boy's so much and I love him more everyday for that!
I tell little khai how much I love him and I just cant stop kissing his cute little cheeks all day!!
This little boy really has his mommy wrapped all around him!

These have been the best 3 weeks I could have ever asked for!
I could not seriously ever imagine not having one of these boys of mine, I'm seriously ONE HAPPY MOMMY!

happy blessing day to our little khailo...

What a sweet day we had with family and friends to celebrate blessing baby khailo!
This time around with little Khai we learned we had the choice of where and when we wanted to bless our baby. We didnt know that we were "allowed" to bless a baby where we wanted. This time I knew as soon as I herd we could do a HOME BLESSING, that's exactly what I wanted to do for little khailo. Nick gave a great blessing like always and it just felt more intimate with just close family and friends around us. We blessed khai at his grandparents house here in cedar, it was exactly what i was hoping for. With this home blessing it was so different then being at church to do it, as soon as the blessing was over we were able to take some pictures and pass little khailo around, let the kids run out side and play together, mingle with family and friends that we dont get to see very often and then get to sit down together and have a nice lunch bite! we will for sure be doing that way again :)

Here are the words that your Daddy Blessed you with:

Our Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power and authority of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood which we hold, we take this infant in our arms to give him a name and a blessing.

The name that he will be known upon this earth and through out his life is, Khailo Haydin Haslem.

Khailo, at this time we would like to give you a blessing.

We bless you as you grow, you will grow strong physically and mentally and spiritually. That you will become close with your Heavenly Father through prayer. That you will always try and do good and strive to do your best

We bless you that when you get old enough to go to school, that you will have intelligence to learn quickly and be able to do things that would like.

We bless you that as through life you will see the good in things and have joy and peace. and love knowing that your home is a place of refuge and unconditional love for you.

We bless you with the desire to do good and go to the temple, that when the time comes you will find your wife and be able to be married for all Time and Eternity.

We bless you with all these things and we are so grateful to have you, and we bless you with all that Father in Heaven see's you in store. We say these things, humbly in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Khailo, I hope and pray that you will always cherish the words of your blessing from your Dad, read them often and live by them. You are such a sweet addition to our family, we love you so much son!

here is a picture from the blessing right after little khai was blessed:

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
