"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Our New Little Man...Kiptin!

Here is the last belly picture i got before he came...i was 37 weeks!

He Finally made it here, and on his own time too, he was not going to let anyone choose his birthday for him and im so glad he did. So here goes the story of Kiptins Birth for those of you who are interested and for my own sake as well since im forgetting things faster these days....Saturday was just like any other day i have had, we woke up and took kaylin out to have some fun and feed the ducks at the duck pond, went by to my nana's house and she needed me to get her some last minute Christmas shopping done and i was glad to do since i really wanted to walk as much as possible in hope's to go into labor, so we did the last of our Christmas shopping while we were out. Later that night i had some random contractions nothing new since i have had those on and off for a couple of weeks, went to dinner that night, watched a movie at our house with some of nicks family and then had nick and his dad give me a blessing for just in case kiptin was to come before we were induced and then headed off to bed. I woke up Sunday at 2am with some cramping nothing major just the usual, tried to sleep through it a bit and then thought to my self i should get up and walk the house and bounce on my ball for a while and maybe they would turn into something more, so i did that and the contractions were still coming but not in any pattern so i was getting mad that they would go into a pattern and just be the "real" thing so after about 2 hours i kinda sat/laid around and then at 4 am they started to get really bad but still no pattern just random, i waited until 5 to wake nick up and told him i didn't know if it was real or not but my contractions were really hurting, i told him i would wake him up again if i thought we needed to go in and i headed to the bathroom to try to take a bath, then they got REALLY BAD, and i walked out of the bathroom and nick had just got up and i said "ya i was just going to tell you maybe you should get up and get ready" now they were in a pattern pretty much about 3 min apart and painful. Nick called his parents to come be with kaylin and at 7 am we got to the hospital, they checked me and i was a 4cm and contracting still about every 3 min, my doc told them to keep me and we moved over to the labor room, by that time it was a little after 8 am and i told them to get me my epi ASAP before i could manage to do anything else, the epi took awhile to get cause all my veins didn't want them stuck with a needle so after 5 trys the epi tech got one of my veins to work and then manage finally to get me numb, i was in heaven after that and everything went back to being wonderful again!
I told nick that he should probably go and get himself some food and bring the stuff in from the car cause i was only a 4 and thought we would be there for awhile, he left got back about half hour later and then the nurse come in and checked me and she looked at me and said "oh my gosh, your an 8, and 100%" i looked at nick and we were both kinda shocked that it was almost over already and had barley began. My doc ran over from church this was a little after 10am and she check me and i was an 8 and she had to be back to teach the young women's at 11:15 so she was wondering what to do and then all the sudden my water broke and she said well that answers that, she said lets have a baby!!! and so i pushed through about 5 contractions and out he came 20 min later, at 11:07 am he was here, my doc even made it back to teach only a few minutes late!!
The entire experience was PERFECT and i would do it over again just like that, i loved everything about it (ok maybe not the IV not working the first try, but other then that) I really loved the experience i had this time, it was just what i wanted and it was over fast, seriously we were only in the labor room for 3 hours, and only at the hospital total for 4 hours and we were done!!! AWESOME BIRTH, AWESOME NURSES AND DOCTOR, AWESOME HUSBAND & BEST FRIEND RAYNI (who got to be there, thanks for the pictures) and AWESOME LITTLE BOY!!!!

Santa....

Finally nick got to be home one year to take kaylin to see Santa clause with me at the mall, i liked the Santa this year they are much better with a real beard! kaylin was excited to go and see him, but he got a little shy once we got to Santa, he still went up and sat on his lap and told him he wanted some cars for Christmas but then he couldn't get any other words out of his mouth, (good thing the list wasn't too long, lol) it was really cute! Santa told him about being a big brother and how he is going to have to help mommy out a lot with his baby brother, he really liked hearing that he was going to be a big brother! He told me that Santa now know what he wants for Christmas cause he sat on his lap and told him!

I have a a crazy week this week early weds morning about 3 am i woke up with really Strong contractions that lasted all night and i thought for sure i was in labor and so about 10 am they still hadn't stopped so i called my doc and they said go get checked but by the time i got to the hospital they had spaced out and were not as strong, i was so bummed, the nurse checked me and i was the same as i was last week at a 3 and 70%....so the next day (Thursday) i had my regular doc apt and she checked me and said "those contractions are doing there job, you are 3+ and 80% now" so that was nice to hear that i was progressing a little bit anyways. she said any day now he will want to come out, so my fingers are crossed!!!!

It's Starting.....

I went into the doc's yesterday for my 36 week apt. and she told me its now time to start the "checking" every week from here on out so i was pretty excited but tried not to get my hopes up that something had started to happen yet, she told me that its perfectly normal to be nothing or maybe just 1cm at this point so not to worry if that was the case...i told her i sure hope I'm more then that...she then proceeded to the fun part that everyone just loves....and she says "holy cow girl, your a 3 and 70%" and she said "oh my gosh your cervix is awesome i cant believe it, and his head is right here i can feel it, you just might get your wish for him to be here early after all!!!!"
Can i just say i had the biggest perma smile on my face....i know that i could stay this way for a long time but I'm just going to keep telling my self that I'm progressing everyday so some magic will happen!!!!
I really want him here the week before Christmas and would LOVE for him to come on his own and for me not to be induced so my fingers are crossed...everyone pray for me and send good mojo my way for him to come out!!!!
if you have any tricks on how to get contractions and whatever else let me know so i can start trying them next week!!!!

Thankful For.....

Iam so thankful for this little guy who changed my life FOREVER, who gave me the most price less gift of all...to be a mommy!

That little guy has changed so much and now is such a big boy, who brings so much laughter to our home and life's...he is the most perfect thing i have ever seen in my life. He makes everyday worth trying for even when things hit rock bottom he is just all smiles all the time....i love you so much kaylin james!

Iam thankful to have made it to 35 weeks pregnant after trying for over two years, even though its tough sometimes, I AM thankful to be able to carry another baby who will join our family and bring that much more joy to our lives.

im thankful for his little movements that say "HI MOM, DAD, BROTHER"...iam thankful that so far everything is going smoothly this time around!

Iam SO THANKFUL for my awesome husband who i have been so in love with since i was 14yrs old...(weird to think i was once 14 and now married and have almost two kids) i love him more everyday, he is such an awesome dad and loves his boy (soon to be boys) he is so involved with kaylin and has so much Patience with him and just takes care of his every need and want! He has the kindest heart of anyone i know and is really an example i try to fallow! I love you so much honey, thanks for taking me on this thrilling exciting ride through life with you!

Iam thankful for so many things in life and this time of year its nice to sit back and reflect on those things...I'm thankful for the temple, church, gospel without these life would seem a little meaningless. I am thankful for my family, friends, neighbors...they are always there for me and with out them it would be a little lonely. I am thankful for the blessing we have to enjoy the many wonderful things in this world and in our daily life's. I am also grateful (though its weird)for the trials that make us grow and come together in the hard times but the blessing that come after those trials are always worth the hardships!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!

Halloween....

Kaylin out trunk or treating....

We had our ward Halloween party and kaylin loved the spook house, thats were he stayed pretty much the entire time we were there.

Kaylin was SOOOO HAPPY when he found Mario, he fallowed him around the party and did what ever Mario did...he had a perma smile on his face!!!!!

kaylin and his two cousins!!

We couldn't leave kiptin out so for his first Halloween we made him a pumpkin! I always have told nick that if i was ever pregnant on Halloween i wanted him to paint a pumpkin on my belly....sooo thats what we did!!!! this is kaylin and daddy painting away.

I thought this would be a cute 32 week picture of me to put in kiptins scrapbook and to share with all of you....

This year Halloween was pretty weird and nick didnt get to do all the fun stuff with us again cause he was working and driving home from up north, but he did get the pumpkin painted and did make it home before Halloween was totally over. Kaylin had a great time though and was so fun the hole day, he loved being Luigi and by the end of the night he changed himself to super Mario instead, its strange to think next year we will be out with TWO kiddos trick or treating, but we cant wait...we can officially say we are having a baby next month now too!!

31 Week pic's & Kaylin cute cat......

Well i made it to 31 weeks now and i feel like its going by really pretty fast actually, seriously were the heck did October go???
I am so excited to see this little guy and hold him in my arms!! 40 weeks is a long time knowing that there is a little baby growing inside of you and being able to feel him kick and hiccup and wiggle just makes it that much longer it feels like.

I can definitely feel him more now, i can tell my fluid levels are getting lower cause i really feel every single movement he makes, it is so funny when he moves by my ribs cause it tickles me and i just start laughing and people around me look at me like I'm crazy, but it's so fun. Kaylin feels him move now and just laughs and laughs when he is rolling across his hand...i love it!!!!
I can wait to see my TWO BOYS play together and be the best of friends, i couldn't ask for anything more perfect!!!

Kaylin made these really cute kitty ears at school and his teacher drew the little nose and whiskers on each kid...i just loved it and let him be a kitty for the rest of the day....he makes one cute kitty!!!!

Rayni is so lucky my scanner is not working right now cause i have been trying to get our "best friends" photo scanned to my computer to post on here but its just not working for me...Rayni and i have been friends since 3rd grade and we still love each other!!!! (i didn't get you a card so this will have to do)...*Ray you are my very best friend and i love you so much, thanks for always being there for me ANYTIME of the day or night and always coming over to make me feel better when I'm down! You are such an awesome person and beautiful inside and out and you have been such an example to me..even when you don't know it. I love my kid....!!!

The other day Kaylin and i were sitting in the bathroom getting him dressed and i had on this heart bracelet and he said...

kaylin: mommy i wanna wear that
me: Well this is for girls not for boys, girls wear bracelets with hearts on them
kaylin: but i wanna wear it
me: well you don't wanna look like a girl, it really is for girls
kaylin: but your not a girl, your just my mommy!!!!

seriously i was laughing for a few minutes over it, it was really funny, i love the little things he says!!!

Thank you Swine!.....

Well i guess the swine flu was good for something....it kicked my nesting into HIGH gear!!! I don't think i have EVER cleaned this much in my life, for the past 3 days i have been deep cleaning everything, walls, doors, (too bad i still hate to clean windows even nesting couldn't make me do that) i have deep cleaned my bathrooms about 20 times or more since Thursday, i got all the baby clothes out of storage and went through all the boxes and got out all the clothes up to 3 months and washed them and folded them, put them in the baby's dresser, cleaned out kaylins clothes that don't fit him anymore which is kinda bad cause now i see he needs A LOT of winter clothes cause he has none.
I want to move my rooms around so bad but i have no were to put anything except were it already is so that is driving me crazy (can someone just buy me a bigger house!)
Nick asked me what was wrong with me when i was cleaning the washer and dryer today, he said "are you OK" "are you obsessed with cleaning now" i just laughed cause it is a little weird that i have been like a MAJOR germ freak the last week. I still have A LOT to clean but it is slowly getting there, if you have never seen my house deep cleaned before now is you chance (rayni!)....any ways everyone is good now at our house kaylin and nick still have a little bit of a cough but that's it, thank goodness i tested negative for it and never got sick.
I guess it was all good timing with the swine flu cause i have gotten a lot done i don't think i would have other wise or maybe is was just knowing i only have "9" weeks or less left before our little boy gets here and had to get cracking on all the stuff i have had to do!!!

October 13, 2009

29 weeks...10 or less to go!!!!!!

Seriously, I'm so excited that the time is almost done and we will get to hold our little guy! It seems like the last like 6-8 weeks have gone by pretty fast, thank goodness! I am definitely feeling very pregnant now, like the hard to breath, rib pain, no clothes that fit, back pain and swollen feet almost every night, my back is out of place and needs to get fixed and then I'm sure i would feel a little better but i am to freaked out to get that done so i just deal with it. My doc did say that if i didn't have him early on my own that she would induce me at 39 weeks, but i am definitely hoping he will come before 39 weeks like 38 would be so awesome cause 39 weeks is like Christmas eve for me and he is not coming on Christmas, but who knows they have minds of there own so he may just stay in there forever!
It's so fun to feel him move around in there and feel his little feet and knees and elbows and what ever else it jabbing me! Its nice to actually look pregnant now and not just that weird fat looking stage where people are afraid to ask if your pregnant! I cant wait to get our last 3D ultra sound done and maybe get a peak at his little face since everyone we have had the little stink hides his face, that would also be very helpful in our picking his name cause now we have no idea again as to which one it will be 8(
all in all i love being pregnant but would love to have my body to myself again at the same time. We cant wait to have our little guy here.

October 11, 2009

Oh what a three year old say's.....

So last night we were getting in bed and kaylin was in our bed (of course)and i layed down talking about my feakin swollen feet, and my belly buddy was kicking around so i pulled my shirt over my belly and right away kaylin started laughing historically and i looked at him and said "whats so funny", he said "your belly is so fat now", my mouth just dropped and i couldn't believe my three year old said that to me....man that makes you feel soooo good!!!

*just so i have it on record for my own memory*
Saturday (oct 10th) Kaylin said his first swear word...yes i did say swear word. Nick and i were watching one of our favorite comedy shows " Til' Death " and is was kinda quite in the room, kaylin was in the room playing with a some cars and the girl on the show says..."wait whats that smell...oh i know its not your a**" referring to her own side of the room with a very nice smell instead of her husbands behind, like we all know about from our husbands smelling up the room before bed. well kaylin sits up on the chair and says " its not your a**, its not your a**", i tried to stop him from saying it before he did but i didnt get through to him in time. seriously he wasn't even paying attention to any of the show and then he decides to at that one moment in the show...*sigh*

October 04, 2009

What did you make there, crafty lady!.......

Well looky looky what i did....all by myself. I made my very own "car seat canopy's" all three, and they are really cute and cost me a lot less then buying 3 from someone else, and they are exactly how i want them and they mean more!
They are pretty easy i was surprised how easy they are but they do take about 2 to 3 hours to make...so if you wanna make one i can help ya, or make one for you for a lot less, let me know!

This one is MY FAVORITE one and it took the longest cause i made the straps out of the material and not ribbon.

* I made the straps for this one too, but it was a little easier, Kaylin picked this material out for his baby brother all by himself as you can tell cause its his favorite...train material, he loves this one and so do i, it turned out really cute!

*This was my first one and it turned out perfect too, and his has the softest material on the back side of it, perfect for a soft blankie and to keep the heat in since it will be winter when this little guy arrives!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
