"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Sick Days are not fun....

My poor little guy got sick on Tuesday and man was he out of it...he woke up at 6 am and i felt him and he was getting warm, i got him back to sleep and then i had to get up at 7 cause i said i would go in and help out my work for a bit the day before, so nicks mom was going to watch kaylin for a bit, well he was walking around fine and so i took him to grandmas house then when i got off work early at 12 i went to get him and he was soooo sick, he through up a few times but mostly he was just frying HOT, so i took him home and he slept on the couch for about 4 hours and i couldn't get him to eat or drink anything and he wouldn't take any medicine, I felt so helpless that i just couldn't make him better and everything i tried just wasn't working, Finally his cheeks started to turn purple so i called the doc and they said bring him in, he had a temp of 103 probably about all day long if not higher, it freaked me out. then the doc said that he had a virus that would make him have a high fever for about 2 to 4 days and not to do much until it goes away, he said if we don't keep Motrin and Tylenol down him every three hours it would just come right back..and he was right cause last night i gave him some Motrin about 9pm and by 5 this morning he was frying hot again, so he downed the Morton and walla no more fever....(FYI..the doc said it could be spread just by a kid with a runny nose...so PLEASE when you take your kid to church to nursery make sure they are well cause that's were he got it from.) today he is back to playing as long as i keep the Motrin and Tylenol in him.

First Trip to the Dentist.....

Kaylin got to go to the Dentist today for the first time...he was really excited! The doc told me that he would probably start crying and not to worry...he said he doesn't get to many 2 1/2 year olds in there that don't start crying...but kaylin proved how tough he is and didn't make a peep! He was so excited to get a new tooth brush and a book. that's the only dentist i know that gives out books when they are done. He had perfect teeth thanks to mommy for brushing them every night...no cavities!! The doc told me that i should now start to floss his teeth (i was thinking to my self..ya right floss a 2 yr olds teeth) but he showed me how, i thought kaylin might cry when he flossed his teeth but nope he was just perfect!! here are kaylins pictures from his first Dentist appointment!

Mommy's baby is not a baby anymore....

I took these pictures last Sunday of kaylin before church and after i was looking back on my camera and i sat down and showed nick and told him we don't have a baby anymore 8(...gosh i remember just having him and now he is so independent and is now a little boy..., i seriously cant believe he is almost 3...where does time go? He has made our life worth while since he has been born, he has blessed us so much and our life's couldn't be happy with out him in it...we love you kaylin boy!!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
