"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

2nd foot surgery

I've just finished up my 2nd foot surgery, hopefully this one will be the magic one and I can be all done with this mess of a foot.

I wanted to just write down a funny moment that happened while we were getting ready to leave.

We had karbon with us and I had just woke up from surgery and I had a heater blowing in my blankets to get me warm.  When it was time for me to get dressed to be discharged...karbon touched my belly and said "why you's skin so hot"
I told him it was because I had a heater in my blanket. He then got his scrunchie nose and looked at me funny and said "you had Hooters in there"!!!
Lol lol lol lol lol lol
Nick and I laughed for a good 2 minutes!

Love these little moments where kids day funny things. I already miss it with the other boys and soon this little one will grow out of it as well, boo.

Happy 6th birthday to our khailo

This is the birthday that's hard for me... the "two hand" birthday.  For the rest of our lives you will never be able to only count your age on one hand, queue "mom tears" ....

Mom turns 34... FIRST SPARTAN RACE

Behind yet again, but this is a must post!

This girl turned 34.  Its seems like just a number but that number brings some big feeling with it.  I dont feel like I'm in my 30's. I dont want to be in my 30's. But life doesnt stop to ask what you want, it just keeps on moving with or without you.  So I've made it a point to stay healthy and active, so that as our sweet boys grow, dad and I can keep up!
This year my birthday was so great! I felt a little bad for leaving the boys home with grandpa & grandma haslem while dad whisked me away for an over night getaway to st. George... but we were headed to do something I've wanted to start doing for a few years but missed the chances that came around.... run a SPARTAN race.... I've wanted one of those medals around my neck for some time now... I've gotten marathon running medals, and bike race medals...but its the spartan medal that I've always wanted to feel, hold, touch and wear knowing I made it, I accomplished a big bucket list goal.... to know that I AM fit enough and strong enough to achieve that and I did it!!!!!

Not without my soul mate though...he does crazy things with me all the time..never complain when I tell him hes doimg it with me..just goes along with it... even when he wants to take off and do the very best he can, he doesnt, he stays right with me and makes sure that im doing the very best I can.  He melts my heart, to know someone can love you so much even when you are such a brat at times (more times then not I'm sure)... he stays by my side and always trys to make me happy!

Finishing the spartan sprint was ridiculously fun and I'm hooked for life.  We got our first pieces of our trifecta medal, which means we need to complete two more races this year, each one being longer and harder then the last...when I saw that first piece of my ultimate medal, I knew I had to complete the next two...and we are doing just that..I have a goal to complete my trifecta and by gosh..I will!!

The spartan sprint is a 4 mile race with about 20 + obstacles. ✔

Now we need to complete the spartan super: 8+ miles, 30+ obstacles

And the spartan beast is 12+ miles and 40+ obstacles

I'm soooo excited to complete that medal this year! I hope we get too!

Later when we got home, the boys and dad made me my annual red velvet cake..I love that they all make me this every year!

Although I dont want to get old, I do love the changes I get to witness... I do love watching myself grow and complete goals... I do love watching my sweet boys grow up, as hard as that also is...its something that I cant make time stand still so I need to make sure I'm embracing everyday/moment with these little boys...because they are only little, for a little while!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
