"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

5 New Puppy's...

This is late as well but its special and I didnt want to forget it...

when sam died this past November we where so sad ecpesially nick because sam was his and he always wanted to get a puppy from him because we knew he wasnt going to live long due to the breed 7 years is average for them. we had two previouse litter's, the first totally unplanned and the second planed so we could keep a pup but it ended up being a really bad time to keep one, so our plan was to breed them again in the summer of 2012 that being a year later. so we separated then during her heat cycle in november, (sam was a crazed dog during this time, which he never acted like that before, but maybe he just knew he would be leaving us, i like to think so)..one outside and one inside but we had to go to stg for thanksgiving so we had to have them both outside, so we divided the yard and had one of them on each side, we were going to be back late and we had nicks parents check on them and to have them let sam inside since it was too cold out for him, jaida was in the side with the heated dog house so she was fine. well when they went to let sam in,jaida was in the side with him, so freakish way she managed to jump the 4ft fence to be with sam. we thought "OH crap she may have gotten prego" and we DID NOT want puppy's yet. A few days later sam died, and our thoughts of course were why did we not just let them breed. nick was so upset that now our chances of getting a puppy from our sweet sam were gone.
we really hoped that jaida with some miracle got pregnant off that one time she was able to get in with sam.
we watched and noticed NOTHING different in her, we knew what to look for since she was pregnant 2 other times and new the changes in her...but there was not a single thing.
One of the familys that bought a male and female from our 2nd litter called me and offered us to breed the male so we could at least have a pup from sam's line...that was amazing for them to offer and think of us.
we were planning on taking them up on their offer this summer.

Around January 20th we all the sudden noticed that jaida started acting different and started getting milk in...WHAT THE HECK...AMAZING!! how did we not notice?? she really never showed a single sign til then...i looked at the calender and date that her and sam had got in the same side of the yard and the dates matched up exactly with her having pups in just a few days from then....and what do you know on JANUARY 24TH we had 5 beautiful puppies, all fawns just like their dad...2 girls and 3 boys!

It is nothing less of a miracle and we know it was a gift that sam left for us!
we kept the biggest boy, named him KLYDE and he is exactly like his dad in every way...i actually have a hard time with calling him klyde..i always call him SAM.

More pictures to come of him later...he is about 12 weeks old now so i need to get new pics of him.

Baby Ducks...

One of Kaylin & Kiptins favorite things to do is go to the ranch store's here and see the new little baby chickens. This time they had little baby ducks and kaylin had to have his pictures taken with one!
I thinks its adorable so i have to post it!

My cute little guy...

oh kippers, you are such a funny kid!

the other day i was needing to get stuff cleaned in my room and didn't want kiptin running around destroying the house so i put him in my bath tub so i could keep a close eye on him, he is quit the destroyer, he is like a tornado, the whole house can be spotless and he comes through and in 5 seconds flat its a wreck NO JOKE!
Anyways I was cleaning the bathroom and turned and looked at him and he was laughing and he looked like this...

made me laugh as well...he is so silly!
love this little guy!

Pizza making time...

Papa murphys has a new pizza kit for little kids to make their own pizzas so when we saw that we thought it would be so fun for the boys to sit and make their own pizza...BIG HIT i must say!

kaylin was so excited to get his pizza and put everything on him self...kiptin needed a little help but loved being able to be hands on helping daddy with it!
It was fun to watch the boys be all excited about it, and it wasnt even messy!

I forgot to take the final pictures of when they were done but they turned out cute and yummy!

Easter...

Easter is so much fun.
I love spending time with family its the best!
This year we did 2 Easters. Shane and trish and brayden were able to come to cedar and spend the week with us, they stayed at our house and we had lots of fun...kaylin and brayden played so well together, brayden loves to teach kaylin new things! we did some house hunting together here and then on saturday we had a fun filled day with the haslem side, saturday morning the Easter bunny left a few things for the boys- kiptin got a new set of shuvels and buckets to play in the dirt with, and kaylin got "squishy baff" which turns the bath tub water into a slushy type stuff its pretty cool actually and he also got pop rocket and yummy chocolates which may or may not have gotten eaten my ME! then it was off to playing a discovery park eating pizza, then off to grandpa and grandmas house to color some easter eggs, and then is was up to the hills to do some target shooting SO FUN, and Easter egg hunt. Nicks parents always hide prize eggs for everyone and then we get silly gifts which we all laugh about but they are fun, its fun just to be silly sometimes, right!
Then we headed to stg on Easter Sunday to spend the day with the forsyth family, we ate the best feast ever, everyone brought stuff to share this time to make it easy on nana, then as always she makes sure to have a little easter egg hunt for the 5 little grand boys she has.
We all love nana so much, we each told a favorite memory we have of her and that was fun to hear from everyone!

One thing we never want to forget and we need to be better at teaching out boys about it why we even have Easter in the first place...its not all about the egg hunts and candy and Easter bunny...but most important about Christ, who bled and died for each of us and made it even possible that we are here and have the chance to raise a family here on earth and are able to live the life worthy of returning back to him someday. I love my savoir so much, what he did for us is so unthinkable and selfless, the greatest act of love and kindness any one can ever offer us. I hope we can always remember this and think of it daily and not just when Easter comes around!
HAPPY EASTER!

Fun shower for the boys...

SORRY IM SO FAR BEHIND ON POSTING ALL THIS STUFF!

I mixed food coloring in some shaving cream and let the boys paint my shower...oh they had such a blast!

Kiptins 9 stitches....

November 8th 2011.
Started off as a great day visiting great grandma forsyth in stg while nick worked for the day dwn there.
The boys were having fun playing, kiptin was up and down on the bar stools eating some snacks and grandma and I were right there in the kitchen visiting.
Kiptin was sitting on a bar stool and i was only 2 away from him, he started to climb down and i think some how missed the step and he pulled the big heavy stool on top of him. I ran over to him and lifted it off and noticed that he cut his lip, he had a straight line of blood and i picked him up and headed to the sink to wash it. Once i got to the sink SO MUCH blood started to poor out of his lip and it was cut from his actual lip to his nose, I knew he needed it stitched up cause it was just hanging wide open. All the sudden i started to get fainty (if thats a word) and called my gram over, kiptin was sitting on the counter in front of the sink, i told her to hold the rag on his face and i needed to sit on the ground cause i was just about to pass out. it took all i had in me to keep from passing out, i had kaylin run and grab my phone so i could call nick and tell him, i said kiptin needs to go the ER and get stitches and he said ok go, then i remembered we didnt have a car at my grams house and kiptins lip was still bleed so much and he was getting really white and trying to fall asleep. my grandma had to keep talking to him to keep him awake...and im still sitting on the ground with everything still blurry and dizzy (ya what a great mom i was, right) i sat my self in the freezer to try to cool down and make it so i could stand. I GUESS I CANT HANDLE THE SIGHT OF THAT MUCH BLOOD ON MY OWN KIDS.
all at the same time my gram is holding kitpins lip together, keeping him awake, keeping kaylin calm, and makeing sure i didnt pass out..I LOVE HER, i dont know what would have happened if she wasnt there.
I told nick to come get us but he was like 30 min away so i called my dad and told him to come get us and he was about 15 20 min away but drives a little on the slow side, so who ever showed up first it didnt matter but we had to get to the er soon...right before nick and my dad showed up which they both did with in 2 min of each other, i was finally able to stand and hold kiptin and we got the blood to stop pooring out.
we got to the ER and they took him right back and said they would have to put stitches in it since it was so deep they could just do the glue stitches.
after he told us he also said they wouldnt be able to stitch it unless they put him out so he would stay still and calm through it, and it was more of a tranquilizer...AAAAAAAA i was freaking out again, i didnt want to put my under a tranquilizer...that just made me feel even worse. he had to have a cat scan cause his eye was swelling so big as well.
they got everything done and put 9 stitches in his poor little lip.
after a little over a week he got so sick of his stitches he just pulled most of them out himself...crazy boy.

it was such an awful experience for me, and now im scared if something happens again and im all by my self with no help. im usually ok with blood but i guess not when its that much coming from my own little boy.
here are some pictures of kiptin while we were at the hospital and then after a few days when his eye was so black, he looked so sad it was awful so see him like that everyday, people couldnt believe how black his eye got.
He now has a lovely scare on his lip, it will be a good story to tell all the girls i guess!!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
