"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

2013 is now coming to an end...

It's officailly the last few hours of 2013, its been a pretty good year for us and we are so blessed!

Here is a short recap of some of the things this year has brought to our family:

The most important event this year was welcoming sweet little Khailo to our family of course! what a blessing he is to us each day, we was such a SURPRISE...but we couldn't have asked for a bigger better surprise then him!

Kaylin:
Started 2nd grade! turned 7 years old, learned to read really well, is amazing at math. Loves video games. got brave and learned how to ride his bike. Got to go to his first ever "work day with daddy" just him and dad, he loved it! loves science and experiments and building "creating" things. is such a sweet heart. Has loved his brothers more then ever. lost 3 teeth this year. and is growing up WAY TOO FAST!

Kiptin:
Started pre-school. Turned 4 years old. Loves dirt bikes SO MUCH! Has taken the "big brother" role so seriously, and adores khailo. he has grown so much this last year, he is no longer our little baby boy but is now our big boy! he loves to dance, we turn on music and he just jams out!

Khailo:
Joined our family! learned a ton in the last month, rolling, crawling, and pulling him self up on everything. LOVES his mommy...and everyone else but mostly mommy...huge huge huge MAMA'S boy for sure! got 3 teeth and is in the 90th % for height...huge boy!

Nick & I:
he turned 29 and I 28...eek! Celebrated our biggest Anniversary 10...TEN YEARS!!! wanted to get away for a cruse but decided last minute that khailo was just to small (almost 4 months) and being away that long was just not right for us at the time...but we are taking that cruise this year in a few months!
Sold our first home we bought together when we got married, sad but love where we are in life now! HAVE 3 KIDS. Nick looks HOT, always has but right now SMOKIN would be the word i use for him, he has gotten into REALLY good shape and helps me want to follow suit...we love being healthy and I need to get back on the wagon with that, i let mine slip and cant wait to start back up!!
We ran our first ever half marathon, what a great bucket list check off...it was so gratifying to accomplish that and run across the finish line with my best friend...i hope to run it again this year with him again!!
Nick helped build an AMAZING Children's Museum. We bought a new car..strange for us to own a CAR cause we have always had big trucks and SUV's...but we wanted to get good gas mileage and save some money and after all it is the last time we can own a car cause one more baby and we wont fit anymore, so we gave it a go and we love it!
I think the biggest thing is that we made it through another year full of mostly up's but with a few down's...we made it through and are so happy right now, our life is full and crazy but IT'S OUR LIFE, we love it and we make the most of it, our kids make us so happy and we have had fun just being in love!!

I hope this New Year brings us more happiness and joy and love! we are very blessed and so lucky for what we have and couldn't ask for more. We hope to be able to be debt free this year or close to it and we have many more things instore for us and cant wait til they arrive!

Thank you 2013 for being great to us and 2014 we hope its even better...cant wait for all our goals and dreams to happen!
(New Year's Eve Night)

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
