"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Happy 6th Birthday Kaylin

I cant believe you are 6 years old already. Kaylin had such a fun birthday and he was so excited that he got celebrate it for 2 days instead of just one (lucky!).
Kaylin is really into this "skylanders" game with his cute little friends right now, so for his big 1st party (on the 17th) with friends he wanted to have a "skylander party" (which turned out to be a lot harder then i thought it would be to find "skylander" things) but we managed to make it super great!
He invited 9 cute little friends over...Aurora, Dallin, Landon, Max, Alex, Brayden, Hadley, Dawson, and McCoy. We played skylander games that kaylin and I made up and they had to pass all the elements to before they could dig into the yummy food..all of kaylin's favorites! Dad found kaylin a "big boy" bike at a house while he was working and couldn't let it just go to waste, and Dad and I bought kaylin his "skylanders" game (which at this point he still doesn't know about because it hasn't arrived at our house just yet from the mail) he still thinks he has to save up for it and thinks maybe by Christmas he have enough for it, hehehehe we are such cool parents!
On his actual birthday (the 18th today!) we did a family hang out day and spoiled him rotten AGAIN, we did fun things that he wanted to do all day long. First stop was the swimming pool that he loves, then off to walmart to pick out some skylander characters, then headed over to panda express to eat some really yummy lunch that he wanted (he likes to eat there just so he can eat with chop stix!) after all that fun we ended up letting him bring out his "red neck" genes and play in a huge mud pit THEY LOVED THAT!
Here are some pictures we got of his big 6th birthday!!!

Happy Birthday to our Big Boy, we love you so much, more then you even know!
love mommy, daddy, and little brother kiptin!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
