"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Halloween!

This year was so much fun! we just got to hang out with our kidos and watch their cute faces light up! It was another quiet Halloween with just being us and grandpa and grandma haslem, no cousins to hang out with this year.
Sunday night after dinner we did our pumpkin carving, this year we had home grown pumpkins from grandmas & grandpas garden, kaylin was excited he got to watch his pumpkin grow all summer long and then he got to carve it!

Kaylin was so funny this year, most every year i plan what he is going to be but now that he knows that he gets to dress up how ever he wants, he took in upon him self and said he is going to be what he wants to be this year!
For the hole month he said he wanted to be a ninja and have ninja swords, so we bought him the swords backpack and he loved them....until the day before Halloween when i got out the costume box to find kiptins and there he saw the puppy costume and he said he changed his mind and that he was now going to be a puppy!
So he was a happy pup...then on Halloween day he told me that he wanted me to dress up too and he picked out everything i was to wear! He said he dressed me up as Angelina Ballerina! He saw that i had two sets of angel wings and he said he really wanted to wear the white ones, i told him that boys dont wear wings and that they did not go with his outfit. He said "umm mom dogs wear wings...i can be "all dogs go to heaven" and wear the angel wings".
So i could argue with that right??
I just wanted him to be happy and get to be whatever it was he wanted to be....so "all dogs go to heaven puppy" is what he was!!! it was pretty cute!

For kiptin I couldn't decide what he should be, last year he was a skunk and it is THEEE cutest skunk costume i have ever seen...kaylin wore it when he was just a year old on his 2nd Halloween. We also had the tiger outfit and kiptin liked that one too, he wore them both...the tiger for most of the day cause he wouldn't take it off and then the skunk for the night since its a little warmer....i had to have him wear it one last time its just too cute!

They got lots and lots of candy. After the first 2 houses kiptin was getting the idea that if you go to the door they give you candy, he started to get so excited about running up to the doors, at about the 3 house he got his candy and held it up and showed us and yelled some cute "kiptin words" which sounded like "look more" he was so dang excited, it was so much fun watching him be excited this year!

HAPPY 6TH Halloween to kaylin boy &
HAPPY 2ND Halloween to kippers!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
