"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

My BiRtHdAy weekend....

I actually did have a great Birthday, i was so much fun and sooo relaxing. I got to spend two whole days with my hubby and we did quit a few things. saturday night we went out to dinner at our favorite place "texas road house" and had the best steaks, then we went to "Greeen Gate Village Inn, Bed and Breakfast" it was such a neat place and really nice to get away from our house for the night to and be alone. (thanks to nicks parents for taking kaylin saturday night and all day sunday). Sunday (i know we sined a little but we had no choice) we got breakfast at the Inn which was yummy, we went bowling, went and checked out our suv we want, went to the movie mall cop and then back to my inlaws house for some yummy RED VELVET CAKE!!!! its my favorite cake and man was it good, my mother in law and kaylin made it for me while we were gone, and thanks to kaylin he made me one year older then i was, he put 25 candles on the cake and was not about to let anyone take one off either it was really cute! even though i dont want to get older i had a great weekend! here are lots of pictures from my day!

Here are some pictures of the little cottage we stayed in, it was such a cute little house, its call the Christmas Cottage..here is a little bit of history of the Christmas Cottage: it is an original pioneer house, the label "Christmas Cottage" stuck after Mike Andeline sold christmas decorations from October to February out of it, it was built in 1864. it was originally located behind Andeline's Gable House Restaurant on St. George Blvd. and 200 East but it was taken apart brick by brick and rebuilt at the Green Gate Village.

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
