"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Kaylins First Dog Attack......

Last night (Friday 17th) we were at nicks parents house hanging out (like we do almost every night cause our house is boring) and they have this really stupid dog which we hate (now even more with out any slight likeness to the thing) , he is little and really dumb and we don't know why they have him, anyways kaylin was playing with him and he freaking bit kaylins face like 5 times and left so many puncher holes in his face, seriously i really wanna go over and poison the dog now, his face was bleeding so bad and i thought for sure we were going to have to go and get stitches in a few spots that were really deep. i grabbed kaylin and started washing his face and the blood kept coming out of every hole and out of his mouth, nick came over and was helping me and then i felt really week, i got really faint and dizzy (which has never happened to me before around blood, but since it was my sons blood and his face look horrible, i had to sit down and put my head between my legs) so nick took over and was trying to get the bleeding to stop. the dog missed kaylins eye socket by about a fourth of an inch if that so that was lucky (good thing we went to the temple that day so it wasn't any worse). i just held kaylin all night cause i felt so horrible that that happened to him and i felt like i didn't protect him, i was so scared all night that it was hurting him, so ya i didn't sleep really at all. kaylin looks a little worse today cause of the swelling and bruising, but he is so big and tough, we told him we would take him and get him a Thomas the train movie today for being so tough! so here are a few pictures of him last night and one this morning.

(BOTTOM) here are some new pictures of kaylin from today (Monday 20th)
he is healing really fast, much faster then we all thought, and the bruising never got to bad either, not is just the ugly yellow, and the scabs are looking really good too!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
