"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

How We Started Out!

Here is a little bit about how nick and i started off....we met when my brother asked his sister to marry him, we went on a double date with them to the red cliffs movie theater and nick and i went and watched toy story and nick spilled my huge Pepsi under all the chairs all the way down to the front row (ya i was mad, no not really) i just laughed and haven't let him forget that, anyways that was our first date if you could call it that cause i was only 14 but that didn't matter to me. That was our first date that of course led to many more...we dated all through high school, yes he is my high school sweetheart, he graduated in 2002 and then i was left all alone for my last year, ya is was sad. In 2003 we bought our first car together (ya before we were married, a Little weird.) that was in march and i totally thought nick was going to ask me to marry him on my birthday witch is march 8 but it came and went, the week after his family and i went to California for a little trip and nick surprised me with the chance to swim with the dolphins there, it was awesome cause that has always been one of my dreams and as we were playing with the dolphins i got to through this big bottle to the dolphin who's name was misty and she would go and get it and bring it back to me and i got to open it and see which treat i was going to get to feed her, well i pulled out the rolled up note and to my super surprise nick got on one knee and the note said of course "will you marry me" and nick was holding the ring and i could not believe it and of course everyone knew it was going to happen but me, misty started to slash us and slash us and everyone that was watching was clapping and yelling it was so awesome, i'am very lucky to have such a creative hubby, he was always doing special things like that!
We got married in August and then bought our house right away, and we then planned a early couples temple mission to go on for a year, we went and served in the Hawaii temple on the north shore, this was such a blessing for us and a special way to start our marriage and life together, it was hard but so worth every minute of it. and we returned home to our house and then in 2005 i found out by kind of surprise i was pregnant and in July 2006 we had our little boy Kaylin James. This pretty much sums up how things fell into place with us. Now we just enjoy being parents and a family and cant wait to expand and have more bundles of joy in our life!!!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
