"Throughout our lives, we must deal with change. Some changes are welcome; some are not. There are changes in our lives which are sudden, such as the unexpected passing of a loved one, an unforeseen illness, the loss of a possession we treasure. But most of the changes take place subtly and slowly. Day by day, minute by minute, second by second we went from where we were to where we are now. The lives of all of us, of course, go through similar alterations and changes. The difference between the changes in my life and the changes in yours is only in the details. Time never stands still; it must steadily march on, and with the marching come the changes. This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now. Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each of us will run out of tomorrows. " Thomas S. Monson

Our New Little Man...Kiptin!

Here is the last belly picture i got before he came...i was 37 weeks!

He Finally made it here, and on his own time too, he was not going to let anyone choose his birthday for him and im so glad he did. So here goes the story of Kiptins Birth for those of you who are interested and for my own sake as well since im forgetting things faster these days....Saturday was just like any other day i have had, we woke up and took kaylin out to have some fun and feed the ducks at the duck pond, went by to my nana's house and she needed me to get her some last minute Christmas shopping done and i was glad to do since i really wanted to walk as much as possible in hope's to go into labor, so we did the last of our Christmas shopping while we were out. Later that night i had some random contractions nothing new since i have had those on and off for a couple of weeks, went to dinner that night, watched a movie at our house with some of nicks family and then had nick and his dad give me a blessing for just in case kiptin was to come before we were induced and then headed off to bed. I woke up Sunday at 2am with some cramping nothing major just the usual, tried to sleep through it a bit and then thought to my self i should get up and walk the house and bounce on my ball for a while and maybe they would turn into something more, so i did that and the contractions were still coming but not in any pattern so i was getting mad that they would go into a pattern and just be the "real" thing so after about 2 hours i kinda sat/laid around and then at 4 am they started to get really bad but still no pattern just random, i waited until 5 to wake nick up and told him i didn't know if it was real or not but my contractions were really hurting, i told him i would wake him up again if i thought we needed to go in and i headed to the bathroom to try to take a bath, then they got REALLY BAD, and i walked out of the bathroom and nick had just got up and i said "ya i was just going to tell you maybe you should get up and get ready" now they were in a pattern pretty much about 3 min apart and painful. Nick called his parents to come be with kaylin and at 7 am we got to the hospital, they checked me and i was a 4cm and contracting still about every 3 min, my doc told them to keep me and we moved over to the labor room, by that time it was a little after 8 am and i told them to get me my epi ASAP before i could manage to do anything else, the epi took awhile to get cause all my veins didn't want them stuck with a needle so after 5 trys the epi tech got one of my veins to work and then manage finally to get me numb, i was in heaven after that and everything went back to being wonderful again!
I told nick that he should probably go and get himself some food and bring the stuff in from the car cause i was only a 4 and thought we would be there for awhile, he left got back about half hour later and then the nurse come in and checked me and she looked at me and said "oh my gosh, your an 8, and 100%" i looked at nick and we were both kinda shocked that it was almost over already and had barley began. My doc ran over from church this was a little after 10am and she check me and i was an 8 and she had to be back to teach the young women's at 11:15 so she was wondering what to do and then all the sudden my water broke and she said well that answers that, she said lets have a baby!!! and so i pushed through about 5 contractions and out he came 20 min later, at 11:07 am he was here, my doc even made it back to teach only a few minutes late!!
The entire experience was PERFECT and i would do it over again just like that, i loved everything about it (ok maybe not the IV not working the first try, but other then that) I really loved the experience i had this time, it was just what i wanted and it was over fast, seriously we were only in the labor room for 3 hours, and only at the hospital total for 4 hours and we were done!!! AWESOME BIRTH, AWESOME NURSES AND DOCTOR, AWESOME HUSBAND & BEST FRIEND RAYNI (who got to be there, thanks for the pictures) and AWESOME LITTLE BOY!!!!

Santa....

Finally nick got to be home one year to take kaylin to see Santa clause with me at the mall, i liked the Santa this year they are much better with a real beard! kaylin was excited to go and see him, but he got a little shy once we got to Santa, he still went up and sat on his lap and told him he wanted some cars for Christmas but then he couldn't get any other words out of his mouth, (good thing the list wasn't too long, lol) it was really cute! Santa told him about being a big brother and how he is going to have to help mommy out a lot with his baby brother, he really liked hearing that he was going to be a big brother! He told me that Santa now know what he wants for Christmas cause he sat on his lap and told him!

I have a a crazy week this week early weds morning about 3 am i woke up with really Strong contractions that lasted all night and i thought for sure i was in labor and so about 10 am they still hadn't stopped so i called my doc and they said go get checked but by the time i got to the hospital they had spaced out and were not as strong, i was so bummed, the nurse checked me and i was the same as i was last week at a 3 and 70%....so the next day (Thursday) i had my regular doc apt and she checked me and said "those contractions are doing there job, you are 3+ and 80% now" so that was nice to hear that i was progressing a little bit anyways. she said any day now he will want to come out, so my fingers are crossed!!!!

It's Starting.....

I went into the doc's yesterday for my 36 week apt. and she told me its now time to start the "checking" every week from here on out so i was pretty excited but tried not to get my hopes up that something had started to happen yet, she told me that its perfectly normal to be nothing or maybe just 1cm at this point so not to worry if that was the case...i told her i sure hope I'm more then that...she then proceeded to the fun part that everyone just loves....and she says "holy cow girl, your a 3 and 70%" and she said "oh my gosh your cervix is awesome i cant believe it, and his head is right here i can feel it, you just might get your wish for him to be here early after all!!!!"
Can i just say i had the biggest perma smile on my face....i know that i could stay this way for a long time but I'm just going to keep telling my self that I'm progressing everyday so some magic will happen!!!!
I really want him here the week before Christmas and would LOVE for him to come on his own and for me not to be induced so my fingers are crossed...everyone pray for me and send good mojo my way for him to come out!!!!
if you have any tricks on how to get contractions and whatever else let me know so i can start trying them next week!!!!

good advice!

Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal! Under the arm to be protected, & next to the heart to be loved.
